We are frequently proud of our staff – more often than not it’s for going above and beyond for our customers, but this time one of our engineers has given them new cause for pride.

Excitingly, Mike Birchmore, one of our engineers since 2008 carried the Olympic torch during the first leg of its nationwide journey. A keen athlete since childhood, Mike has been making a name for himself in UK triathlons and has aspirations of turning professional. His passion takes him to training camps all over the globe – most recently Lanzarote and Majorca.

Mike is also hopeful that he will qualify for the World Championships over in New Zealand later this year. We have supported Mike towards achieving his goal for a number of years.

Mike Birchmore had this to say “I am so grateful to Datasharp, with their sponsorship over the years I’ve been able to buy valuable kit. I feel privileged to work for a company who take such a keen interest in their staff – they go the extra mile for us so we’re more than happy to do the same for them.”
